WHAT MUSIC OR VERSE SPEAKS TO YOU!

After a very long year of treatments, surgeries and drugs, I began to emerge from the fog that had so engulfed my world. I realized that many times I felt utterly numb and in such a low place that I could not even pray. It was not because i was angry with God, it was because i just could not utter a word. One time in particular, while i was in this state, Casting Crowns song "praise you in this storm" came on the radio. My heart broke and i was able to get out the words "Thank You God" because I knew that especially during those dark times, Jesus was carrying me through it. It puts me in mind of this passage in Isaiah 43. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Jesus truly does protect us from the onslaught of this world.
