RE-(PREFIX): AGAIN; ANEW

posted by jasonfahring at  19:26 || under General

What a "Green" world we live in! Everywhere we look someone is talking about reducing, reusing and recycling. Even our government has kicked in with the "cash for clunkers" campaign! It is amazing to me how so many great things can be made from junk! I'm no tree hugger, but isn't it awesome how flawed, used up, broken things can be transformed!

God often does the same exact things for us. He takes the broken, and makes them whole! He takes those who have nothing left and restores them! He takes our weaknesses or flaws and uses them for good! He gives us courage to do the things He puts on our hearts!
"I still can't believe that the same voice that spoke all the stars into space says He loves me, and He made me nothing less than what I'm meant to be. The things I've believed have been misconceived by this heart that can't understand love. Help me to see what you see in me." -Foolish Things
We look at ourselves based on the labels we or others have put on us, but God sees something else even when we can't see it for ourselves!

LIFE180Church was started a few months ago with the vision of reaching the lost 20 to 30 somethings that are missing in churches across America. Sociey has changed, but too often our methods have not. So it really comes down to the question of whether or not we are willing to change what we are doing to meet the next generation! Are we willing to do everything short of sin, to reach the hurting and lost of this world?

As we move into a permanent location, God I pray that you help us reuse the methods that are effective, recycle the methods that don't work, and reduce the number of people who are hurting and searching for you.
Amen

I am always amazed and even in awe of how God often uses our brokenness and weaknesses as springboards to reach people who are lost, hurting and broken. It is so important for us to let others know that we are not "perfect" once we become Christians...we are just sinners who have recognized our need of a Savior... we are forgiven through grace and mercy and loved in a way we often can't comprehend. Amazing Grace...Amazing Love...Simply Amazing!
