GOD'S TIMING
posted by H2O PERRY CAMPUS at 21:49 ||
Ever question or get frustrated with God's timing? Then, later, you realize how right He was and how wrong you were? That's me at times. I'm experiencing a little of that human frustration right now as we continue to push forward with the HeBrews Coffeehouse project at H2O. Quite frankly, I would love to have the entire project to be finished tomorrow... actually, tonight if you want to know the truth! I would love to have all the funding we need... all the people we need... all the resources we need to open the business and to start building meaningful relationships in the Perry community.
I want it now, now, now - a little impatience on my part I know. So, the last 24 hours, I have had to remind myself (more than once) how God's timing is different than my timing, and that His timing is always right when ...>> full

Building Update - July 1, 2009: Since my last post, we now have incoming water, sewer lines installed, and the brick wall completed. We may be exhausted, but God continues to renew us physically and spiritually. Please continue to pray for Him to fill us with His strength and to keep the vision of why He has called us to this community.

New incoming water line installed.

New sewer lines being installed.

Brick wall completed - no more plaster!
What a job and God bless the city workers that fixed the leak on their side of the street!

June 27, 2009: What an awesome weekend. 15 volunteers from H2O Ardmore came to Perry to assist with the facility renovations. They cut concrete, hammered nails, built walls, put in sheetrock, and did it all out of their heart for service. More than anything, I pray that H2O Perry will have this same DNA of service, whether for another church, an individual, or a family of people. As the book "Servolution" says - whatever, whenever. Here are some great pixs of their hard work & dedication. The Ardmore volunteers - we presented them with a rock from 611 Delaware!
Cutting the concrete for the new sewer lines. Lots and lots of jackhammering. 9 loads to the Perry dump. We now know "Jim" very well! Sheetrock and electrical on the west wall looking toward Delaware St. Jackhammering the sidewalk in preparation for a new incoming water line.

Well, Spencer and I put together the last preparations for the upcoming
weekend. We took all of the nails out of the usable lumber. Great
stewardship... but hot work! We finally broke down and bought two
"Wind Tunnel" fans. We ate our Sonic burgers in front of our new
"A/C." It was great to spend a little down time with Spencer. He's a
great young man and has been a great addition to the planting process.
Here
are a few pictures of our "hot" worship experience last night. We had
about 20 people come out and worship God to celebrate His goodness for
giving us the strength during the fast and for Him revealing wisdom and
knowledge to us during this time. Personally, God revealed 3 things to
me. First, what we have done in the building is symbolic of what He
is/will be doing in the Perry ...>> full

We experienced our first "unofficial/official" H2Ochurch.tv Perry
experience tonight. It was a night of celebration, thanks, and sharing
what God has revealed to us during this 7-day fast. I will update you
more with some thoughts and some pictures of tonight later in the
week. Right now, I am headed to bed as we have a big rest of the week
ahead of us!
Oh yes, we did get water to come out of a planned
pipe today! Progress is being made. But, this weekend, we are going
to cut concrete to lay a new incoming line as the pressure is not very
good for all of our future plans. Speaking of this weekend, we are
blessed to have a 20-person team headed from Ardmore to Perry all day
this Friday and Saturday to install electricity, put up walls and
sheetrock, cut concrete, etc. What a true blessing ...>> full
